Review: Yellow-gold color. Strong, fresh apple-citrus aromas
with a hint of vanilla. Medium full- bodied, with creamy texture and
round, succulent, juicy flavors, this vintage reveals ripe apple fruit
combined with hints of green almond and pear in the finish. Moderate
acidity heightens the wine’s approachable softness.
My Review: I first noticed the deep yellow, gold-ish color of this wine. It smelled lightly like apples, with also some citrus-y scents. I tasted a lightly oaked finish to this wine. I also detected creaminess, and vanilla flavors. It tasted almost buttery, with crisp acidity to balance. I tasted this wine with smoked gouda cheese, and it brought out the crispness of the wine.
